Sup yawl! Hope everyone is having a killer summer. Has anyone taken the NCLEX? If so, how did it go? Keep everyone updated on how it went.

Hey All. I freakin' passed!! And no I cannot believe it. I took it Thurs in Boise and was sure I had failed. Got cut-off at the minimum 75 questions and was sure I had bombed it. I have never been so relieved in my life. Do not take it for granted- I had forgotten how hard it can be. Lots of "select all that apply" questions and for some reason it asked me infection control questions over and over and over again. Good luck to everyone else and let me know if I can be of any help. Later! -Shea

Way to go Shea! Did you take practice NCLEX quizes and if so how were you doing on them? I take it on Tuesday and I don't even feel half ready to take it. For everyone who hasn't taken it, here's a pretty good link to free NCLEX prep stuff.

Hi guys. I, by some grace of a higher power, passed the NCLEX. I took it Monday in Ogden. I got cut-off at 75 questions and wanted to cry. I knew I had failed it. I even practiced how I was going to tell my nurse manager. :) It was a tough test! Like Shea I had a lot of 'select all that apply questions' and multiple questions on gout. Good luck all!

I passed!! Like everyone else I was convinced that I had failed. Tons of select all that apply and infection control questions and I had never even heard of ANY of the drugs I was asked about. I also got kicked out at a min. of 75 questions. It's tough!!! Good luck to everyone!-Tristen

Oh, extra tip...you can find out if you passed for free about a day or two after you take the test by going to the dopl web page and searching your name. If you have a license you passed.-Tristen

I took the test on Tuesday and passed! I studied with saunders and found it helpful - plenty of questions (3500-ish) and helpful review chapters that boil it down to the essentials.
Good luck all! -Anne Foulger

howdy everyone...

I took the test july 2nd and passed. Although for the two days waiting to find out i was TOTALLY convinced I had failed, I didn't feel too good about it.

And Thanks tristen for the tip on looking at DOPL because they had it up before PearsonVue did.

How's everyone else doing?

Kristene here. I am going to sound like a broken record, but I too was convinced I failed. I got 75 questions, and I was done in 65 minutes. I took advice from other nurses, and just went with my first instinct, no second guessing. I got hit with a lot of unknown meds, and C. Diff. Good luck all!

Passed! I must say it was very nerve racking. I finished in 45 minutes with 75 questions, totally freaked me out. I could hear my heart pounding in my ears with the ear plugs in, my fingers were swollen making it difficult to click, and my arms wouldn't stop shaking. Thank goodness it's over:)
